Welcome to Tarot Tuesday!
Each Tuesday I will be pulling a card from my grandmother’s tarot deck and writing about what the card could mean for the signs, broken up by element. The elements of the zodiac are Fire (Aries, Leo, and Sagittarius), Earth (Taurus, Virgo, and Capricorn), Air (Gemini, Libra, and Aquarius), and Water (Cancer, Scorpio, and Pisces).
I may pull a card from the major arcana, representing our inner wisdom. Or I may pull a suit card, representing outside influences. I may even pull a court card signifying a specific person in your life. This card can help you set your intention for the rest of the week or it can provide a visualization of your current situation. Three of Wands
This week I drew the Three of Wands, the card of planning and future opportunities. In tarot, the number three symbolizes hidden opportunities. It can also symbolize creative endeavors, and joyous celebrations like a marriage or pregnancy.
Wands are the suit of creativity and independence. A wand card represents a need to pursue your own artistic desires and joy. It could also represent travel, success, and a gathering of friends. In my grandmother’s deck, the card is depicted as a young masculine figure standing with his back to the querent. He wears a red and green cloak with a black and yellow and black pattern. He also wears a gold circular crown. Three large wands surround him but he only grasps one. He stands on a hill and looks out to the horizon. There is a mountain range in the distant background.
Though the card’s image may vary from deck to deck, the meaning is often the same. The Three of Wands represents future opportunities that are the result of your current plans or creative opportunities. It can also represent people who can offer you advancement or the opportunity to travel. The card wants you to push yourself out of your comfort zone when looking for a home or career.
The Three of Wands represents personal and financial independence above all else.

Fire signs are ruled by their passion and drive. This card may hold more significance for you because the Wands are the suit of fire. The Three of Wands speaks to the creative spark that resides in you.
Aries, you may be preparing to leave a less-than-ideal situation. This card wants you to set your sights on new creative careers and opportunities.
Leo, you may be considering a new living situation. This card wants you to look into renting or buying a new place that you can call home.
Sagittarius, you may need to travel soon for work. If the opportunity arises, this card wants you to take it. It may open new doors for you!

Taurus, if you are experiencing burnout, this card wants you to pursue a career that will allow you to have a proper and more sustainable work/life balance.
Virgo, if you are feeling a little insecure in your skills and abilities, this card wants you to set yourself free of your self-imposed limitations.
Capricorn, you are an invaluable colleague to your employers and fellow employees. This card wants you to use your influence to affect real change in your work environment.

Aquarius, this card wants you to pursue a life and career that will give you greater personal and creative freedom. This will help you unlock your true potential and happiness.

Water signs are ruled by their empathy and imagination. The Three of Wands speaks to your need for a creative career where you can express yourself.
Cancer, this card wants you to try and turn your creative hobbies into a career. It’s time to start working a job that you actually love.
Scorpio, this card wants you to leave the life that was making you unhappy behind. It is time to live the life that you have always dreamed about. You deserve it!
Pisces, this card wants you to take a vacation or a road trip or study certain practices or legends that will inspire your creativity.
