It's almost fall, and you know what that means? Pumpkin spice all the things!

Pumpkin pie is a fall classic, but pumpkin spice flavor is in a category of its own. Pumpkin spice might be the most famous type of latte there is, but this delicious flavor doesn’t have to be limited to just the coffee drink! Here are five recipes to help you celebrate fall in pumpkin spice-style.

What Is Pumpkin Spice?

Pumpkin spice is a combination of cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger, with the majority being cinnamon. It might also have cardamom, cloves, allspice, salt, and sugar. When you combine these ingredients with pumpkin, the result is a delicious fall flavor.

Spice giant McCormick branded their own pumpkin pie spice blend years ago, but you can make your own by combining 4 teaspoons of cinnamon, 2 teaspoons of ground cloves, 2 teaspoons of ground ginger, and 1 teaspoon of ground nutmeg.

Once you’ve made your pumpkin spice, this famous coffee drink only has six other ingredients, making it pretty simple! This recipe has all the details about how to craft this delicious drink.

Use the milk of your choice and make sure you have pumpkin pie puree on hand. Whipped cream is always optional. Tada! Now you don’t have to leave the house for your favorite fall coffee drink!

Pumpkin Spice Pancakes

Whether you’re a brinner lover (that’s breakfast-dinner, and it’s the best!) or you just adore pancakes, pumpkin spice pancakes are an indulgent option to help you relax in to fall. While the recipe (found here) is a little complicated and calls for 17 ingredients, it should only take 30 minutes.

Combine the dry ingredients first, and then fold them into the wet ingredients. If you like some extra texture, add in some toasted pecans. Treat yourself to an extra delicious breakfast!

Pumpkin Spice Oatmeal

If you’re looking for a healthier option than pancakes, pumpkin spice oatmeal is here to make you feel a little less guilty. While you can choose to include some less common ingredients, like pepitas (a type of pumpkin seed), most of the ingredients you’ll need for this recipe are probably already in your pantry.

All you have to do is combine the ingredients and bring them to a simmer. Once the oatmeal is the texture of your preferred consistency, you can top it with pepitas or pumpkin seeds and extra sugar (or honey!) if you choose.

You’ll need to find a pound loaf of Italian-style bread, as well as heavy cream and pumpkin pie puree. Once you have the right ingredients, combine them according to the recipe and let them sit in the refrigerator overnight before baking. As long as you plan ahead, you, your friends, and family are in for a treat!
