Jennifer Lopez says that beauty has no expiration date, and clearly the 51-year-old celeb is on to something.
I’m still not entirely convinced that she hasn’t secretly discovered the fountain of youth somewhere. Even still, like everyone else, I’ve been desperately waiting for J.Lo to drop her seriously youth-preserving skincare secrets for years.
Finally, Lopez has some good news for all of us hoping to look as fantastic as she does in her 50s. She’s launching her own beauty brand — and soon.
Jennifer Lopez Sharing Skincare Secrets With New Beauty Line
“This isn’t just a passion project, it’s a 30-year dream,” J.Lo wrote on Instagram, along with a video. In it, she’s glowing (as usual, right?), and lounging in the water and up against a wall.
I can’t wait to share my skincare secrets with you!! JLO BEAUTY DROPS 1/1/21,” the singer continued. She added that fans can “get early access” on December 8, by hitting the new official site and signing up. Lopez also added the hashtag #BeautyHasNoExpirationDate.
The video was also shared to the new official JLo Beauty Instagram account. You’ll find several more videos there, too, including one that shows a bottle emerging from golden waves. It’s not clear what the bottle is, as the caption only reads, “Beauty THAT hustles. #JLoBeauty.”
There haven’t been any details given about specific products yet.
In any case, the official Insta is up. So is jlobeauty.com, where you can enter your info to get early access deets. It features another stunning photo of J.Lo herself rocking her iconic glow, and says, “Now, Your glow has no expiration date.”
Although the official launch isn’t until New Year’s Day, I’m willing to bet we can expect details on that early access date, December 8.
J.Lo Has Been Hinting at New Project for a While
She hinted that she had something coming to the beauty game back in August.
On August 9, Lopez posted a glowy selfie video to tease her new project. At the time, it was unclear what she was working on.
“Woke up this morning feeling extra grateful and excited,” she captioned the vid. “What to know why? Comment below if you wanna know what I’m working on!”
In 2018, she revealed she was working on a skincare line, but was taking her time to make sure she got it just right.
“I’ve been working on it for a long time because I don’t want to put [just] anything out,” she told Refinery29 at the time. “It’s going to be something that works. That’s what you can count on when my name is on something.”
Fans on Instagram are already speculating on what could be coming from the new celeb-owned brand.
“Body glow is definitely a thing u first think of when u think of JLO here for it!” one user wrote.
“Is it spray SPF? I know that sounds weird but I heard her stylist sprays SPF on her for a flow for red carpets, and the bio says beauty has no expiration… like aging (from the sun),” another person commented.
For now, it looks like we’ll just have to live in suspense.
