Everyone can’t stop talking about the Netflix hit Sandman. But let’s not forget about the other amazing show from the mind of Neil Gaiman, Lucifer!
Today we are pairing up the characters from the devilishly good show with the zodiac signs. Don’t forget to check your moon and rising as well as your sun sign.
I promise I’ll talk about Sandman next week!
Aries – Maze
Mazikeen, or Maze as she is known to her friends, is Lucifer’s right-hand demon! Like Aries, she is hot-headed and has a propensity for violence. But she is also a secret softie who is fiercely loyal to the people she loves. Plus, I’ve referred to Aries and Scorpio as planetary twins, so this only makes sense since I paired Lucifer with *spoiler* Scorpio.
Taurus – The Divine Goddess
I have often called Taureans one of the biggest mom-friends in the zodiac, (though they probably have to share that title with Cancer.) So naturally, I had to pair the earthy mom-friend with Lucifer’s mom, a.k.a. The Divine Goddess. Like Taurus, the Goddess can be rather bull-headed, but She is also incredibly loving and dedicated to Her children.
Gemini – Eve
Geminis are known for their dualistic nature. And one could argue that Eve is also dualistic, since she has had the best of both worlds. She was the first human to enter The Silver City, a.k.a Heaven, but she also dated the Devil. She is also quite erratic like the mutable air sign. And if she is a Gemini, that means that she is compatible with Maze.
Cancer – Dan
Who would have thought that Detective Douche would end up being one of the most lovable characters in the show? You know I had to pair Dan Espinoza with the equally lovable water sign. Like Cancer, Dan is a bit mossy and self-deprecating. But also like the cute little crab, he is a caring and devoted friend and father. Also, if he’s a Cancerian that means that he is compatible with The Goddess who has taken over his girlfriend’s body. Speaking of Charlotte…
Leo – Charlotte
Leo is represented by the king of the jungle, and Charlotte is nothing if not a fabulous lioness. Like Leo, she can be a bit conceited and a bit hot-headed. But after her stint in Hell, she demonstrates the kinder and more mature elements of the fixed fire sign and becomes a more warm-hearted individual.
Virgo – Chloe
You just got to love Chloe. Sure, in the first two episodes, it’s kind of hard to get a real understanding of her character, but as the season progresses, it’s easy to see her charm. I paired her with Virgo because she loves helping people. That is why she became a detective in the first place. She is also incredibly industrious and pragmatic like the mutable earth sign.
Plus, if she is a Virgo, that means she would be compatible with both Dan and Lucifer… I’m sorry I keep spoiling which sign Lucifer is paired with.
Libra – God
Libra is known for their profound sense of justice. So it is only appropriate to pair them with the ultimate Judge, God. Like Libra, God in the Lucifer universe can seem rather ambivalent. But like the cardinal air sign, He is quite loving and dedicated to peace. By His own admission, He hates seeing His children fight. Also, if He is a Libra, that means He and The Goddess are ruled by the same planet, Venus.
Scorpio – Lucifer
I know I have already spoiled it twice in this article, but the broody and sensual scorpion gets to be paired with the star of the show, Lucifer Morningstar. In the television show, Lucifer is the personification of desire, so I had to pair him with one of the sexiest signs in the zodiac. Though due to his penchant for luxury, he may have a Taurus moon.
Sagittarius – Linda
Linda is Lucifer’s excellent, if not a little unethical, therapist. She embodies all of the traits of a mostly mature Sagittarius. Due to her self-reflective nature, she is able to help and emotionally heal her clients by encouraging them to look within themselves. She is also quite indiscreet in the way she unashamedly sleeps with one of her clients.
Capricorn – Amenadiel
The strongest sign gets paired with God’s finest and most loyal soldier. Capricorns are known for their dedication to duty and their fiercely protective nature. And if that doesn’t fit Amenadiel to a T, I don’t know what does. The oldest angel does his best to uphold his dad’s orders and he is also protective of almost anyone he meets.
Aquarius – Ella
Ella is either your favorite character in the show, or you’re wrong. Just kidding. But not really. Ms. Lopez is one of the most intelligent characters in the show, so I just had to pair her with the zany and brainy Aquarius. Like the fixed air sign, making romantic connections does not always come easy to her, but that doesn’t stop her from trying. Also, only an Aquarius would befriend the Angel of Death.
Though she has to have Pisces or Sagittarius somewhere in her birth chart due to her kind heart and penchant for religious philosophy.
Pisces – Trixie
Pisces are known for being a little bit naive, and one could argue that Trixie is the most naive character in the show, by virtue of the fact that she is a child. But that is not the only reason I paired her with the mutable water sign. Like Pisces, Trixie is also incredibly empathetic to everyone in the show, even the violent demon, Maze.
Ophiuchus – God Johnson
God Johnson was not really God, just like Ophiuchus is not a real zodiac sign!
