Welcome to Tarot Tuesday!

Each Tuesday I pull a card from my grandmother’s tarot deck and write about what the card could mean for the signs, broken up by element. The elements of the zodiac are Fire (Aries, Leo, and Sagittarius), Earth (Taurus, Virgo, and Capricorn), Air (Gemini, Libra, and Aquarius), and Water (Cancer, Scorpio, and Pisces).

I may pull a card from the major arcana, representing our inner wisdom. Or I may pull a suit card, representing outside influences. I may even pull a court card signifying a specific person in your life. This card can help you set your intention for the rest of the week or it can provide a visualization of your current situation. Don’t forget to check your moon and rising signs as well as your sun sign.

This week I pulled a court card, the Page of Pentacles. A Page represents a younger, immature person who is in the process of growing up.

Pentacles are the suit of dependability and material comforts. This suit often symbolizes home, family, and ambitious or occupational pursuits. When a Pentacle card pops up, it usually represents the need for common sense and practicality.

In my grandmother’s deck, the Page of Pentacles is often depicted as a young masculine person wearing a green tunic and a red turban. They stand in front of a verdant valley while holding a golden pentacle.

Though the card’s image may vary from deck to deck, the meaning is often the same. The Page of Pentacles represents a trustworthy young person. Either they are young in age or spirit. They are calm and fiscally responsible with an excellent work ethic. It can represent the beginning of a new creative endeavor or the honing of a new skill. However, it can also symbolize the apprehension of starting something new.

Read on to find out what this card means for your sign.

What This Card Means for Fire Signs (Aries, Leo, Sagittarius)

Fire signs are ruled by their passion and drive. The Page of Pentacles speaks to your creative ambitions.

Aries, you have an idea for a project that you have been putting off for way too long. Maybe you are afraid that you will fail or you are worried how others will perceive you. This card wants you to keep moving forward. Complete the project for you and no one else.

Leo, you are making great strides in your creative endeavors. Your fixed modality and accommodating ways may make clients believe that you are easy to take advantage of. Prove them wrong by standing up for yourself. You know your worth.

Sagittarius, you haven’t been overcome by your usual sense of wanderlust in a while. Your need for travel and adventure has been stifled lately. Set aside a day for a day trip. A little escapade will reawaken your artistic side.

What This Card Means for Earth Signs (Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn)

Earth signs are ruled by their dedication and desire. This card may hold more significance for you because the Pentacles are the suit of earth. The Page of Pentacles speaks to your exemplary work ethic.

Taurus, your work ethic is admirable. You are invaluable at your job and you give 100% every single day. But this card wants you to follow a path that will lead to your happiness. Right now you have physical and financial security. You deserve emotional and mental security as well.

Virgo, you have been working really hard lately. You may be using work to distract yourself from the other things going on in your life. This card wants you to do something that will reawaken your inner child.

Capricorn, you have been successful with your ventures in the past. You feel the need to play it safe in fear that you will not succeed. This card wants you to try something new. Try something that you have always wanted to do.

What This Card Means for Air Signs (Gemini, Libra, Aquarius)

Air signs are ruled by their compassion and independence. The Page of Pentacles speaks to your desire for knowledge and new adventures.

Gemini, you have a wealth of poetry, prose, and essays tumbling around in your brain. You may be afraid of what people will think of your writing. But like I told Aries, complete this project for you. Don’t concern yourself with what other people think.

Libra, you are like a butterfly. This card wants you to spread your multicolored wings and fly. It is time to visit new places and learn new lessons. Or maybe you feel like a caterpillar right now. If that is the case, this card wants you to embrace your new life.

Aquarius, you are driven by your thirst for knowledge. This card wants you to read, study, and learn all that you can. Satisfy your need for information. You never know when you are going to need to apply your newly-acquired wisdom to your everyday life.

What This Card Means for Water Signs (Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces)

Water signs are ruled by their empathy and imagination. The Page of Pentacles speaks to your need for growth and maturity.

Cancer, you are normally a very responsible person. But there are a few things that you have been putting off. This card wants you to set aside a day to accomplish all the tasks that you have not been emotionally ready to tackle.

Scorpio, you have been overwhelmed by your emotions recently and this may have led to some outbursts. Having an outburst every now and then is completely understandable. However, you must be careful not to make your personal issues somebody else’s problem. Do not hurt people because you are hurting.

Pisces, your child-like wonder is endearing and this card wants you to hold onto that. But this card also wants you to focus on growing and maturing. Growing up does not mean that you have to let go of your inner child.
