We have talked about how lunar aspects affect our emotions. And we have talked about what our personal moon placements mean. If you are still unsure of what your moon sign is, you can check it here.
Let’s talk about this week’s lunar transits and how they may affect our daily lives.
Monday, March 20th
We start the week off with the moon in Pisces forming a sextile with Uranus in Taurus. This sextile grants us ambition and a can-do attitude. We are more than happy to help out with projects, both at work and at home. Thanks to our pragmatic sensibilities, we are able to persuade others easily to our way of thinking. We also may have a great desire to travel at this time. We crave a bit of freedom and are curious to see what the world has to offer. It may be time to plan a small getaway or take a day trip
Tuesday, March 21st
Just before we wake up, the moon forms a conjunction with Neptune in Pisces. Under this conjunction, we are pensive and meditative. Normally, these two traits have rather positive connotations, but with this placement, our self-reflection can lead us to overthink certain situations and hurt our own feelings. We feel anxious and hypersensitive. We are content to be alone with our thoughts.
Around breakfast time, the moon forms a square with Mars in Gemini. This square brings out our passion, but it can also bring out our competitive spirits. We feel particularly argumentative, especially with the opposite sex. It is important that we acknowledge our own feelings at this time, rather than repressing them.
Just before noon, the moon forms a sextile with Pluto in Capricorn. Under this sextile our tender disposition reawakens. We feel every emotion deeply and distinctively. We desire to travel to new places where we have never been.
Right at noon, the moon moves into vivacious Aries. This moon reinvigorates our confidence and perseverance. We enthusiastically tackle projects both old and new, easy and difficult. We are equal parts spontaneous and sensible. Though on the surface we may demonstrate a devil-may-care attitude, we have a sharp mind and keen senses.
An hour and a half later, the sun in Pisces forms a conjunction with the moon creating a new moon. Under this placement, we are on edge and easily agitated. We may experience intense mood swings. This new moon may cause friction with our loved ones. We may struggle to find peace of mind.
As we get ready for bed, the moon forms a conjunction with Mercury in Aries. This conjunction can inspire our business sense. We are capable and mentally aware. Now is a wonderful time to create our business plan.
Wednesday, March 22nd
In the late afternoon, the moon forms a conjunction with Jupiter in Aries. This conjunction could bring considerable success. We feel ambitious and motivated to work towards financial gains. Maybe there is a certain project or assignment that we have been working on that has garnered the attention of our employer. We may also feel especially popular under this celestial placement. Our financial success and creativity are flourishing.
Thursday, March 23rd
In the middle of the day, the moon forms a strong sextile with Mars. Under this sextile, we feel like we can take on anything. We handle our issues in a pragmatic way and have the courage to face situations that once intimidated us. We feel open and honest with ourselves as well as others. We are speaking our truth and we expect others to be truthful with us.
About an hour later, the moon forms a square with Pluto in Capricorn. Under this placement, we feel anxious and hypersensitive. At this time, it may be tempting to get lost in our own imaginations. A little wishful thinking never hurt anyone. But be careful not to indulge in escapist fantasies too much, or else you might neglect your real-world obligations.
Fifteen minutes later, the moon moves out of wild-card Aries and is welcomed by practical and dependable Taurus. Under this taurine moon, our family, security, and creature comforts are most important to us. In terms of financial matters, we feel the need to, if you’ll forgive the pun, take the bull by the horns. This moon fuels the need to preserve and increase monetary gain. Stability is important, but quality time is paramount.
In the early evening, the moon forms a sextile with Saturn in Pisces. Now is not the time to be impetuous. We must set our intentions using great deliberation. We are taking ownership of the things that are in our control. Our organizational talent is thriving under this sextile. Now is a great time to lead a project at work or tackle any projects at home.
Friday, March 24th
As we scream “TGIF” the moon forms a conjunction with Venus in Taurus. Under this conjunction, we feel particularly compassionate. At this time, we desire and seek harmonious relationships, particularly with strong, maternal figures. We also pursue creative endeavors. Now is a wonderful time to express ourselves through art or poetry.
As we get ready for the weekend, the moon forms a conjunction with Uranus in Taurus. With this conjunction, we are struggling to find our inner balance. We also may find ourselves falling back into bad habits. With two celestial bodies in Taurus, it may feel like these bulls are butting heads. Once we have made up our mind about something, there is very little that someone could say to make us change it. Under this placement, we may be very unresponsive to constructive criticism. On a lighter note, romantic affairs may pop up at this time. Though our tenacity may make us feel closed off, it is important that we keep our hearts open.
