Sorry, Capricorn, but earth signs are the least psychic of the zodiac signs. Now that is not to say that you aren’t magical or special. On the contrary. Your magic is just rooted in the physical rather than the metaphysical. Your strength and protective nature are magical abilities in and of themselves.
10. Virgo
As an earth sign, you may not be as psychic as the other elements because, as I said earlier, your magic is rooted in the physical rather than the metaphysical. But as a mutable sign, you are more likely to possess preternatural abilities than your cardinal counterpart, because you are able to anticipate the physical needs of those around you.
9. Taurus
You are the most psychic of the earth elements. Like Virgo you are able to anticipate the physical needs of those around you. But because of your mom-friend energy, you are also able to anticipate their emotional needs a little better than the other earth signs. Also, your Venus-ruled hedonistic tendencies allow you to anticipate other “physical” needs if you know what I’m saying *wink wink.*
Tied for 8. Aries and Leo
Aries and Leo tie for eighth place on this list. These two fire signs may not be able to read the minds or emotions of those around them as well as other signs. But their sanguine natures and fiery personalities are able to warm those around them. Meaning, they may not be able to read to the energy of others but they are able to project their energy onto others.
7. Gemini
Geminis fall somewhere in the middle of this list. Due to their erratic natures, they are not quite as intune with their supernatural tendencies as some other signs. But, that does not mean that they don’t possess any preternatural abilities. Some studies show that reading fiction can increase your empathy. So it stands to reason that the mutable air sign’s love of the written word can increase their empathic talents.
6. Libra
Libra has made it to the top six on this list. It kind of makes sense that the sign represented by the balancing scales falls right in the middle of the list, doesn’t it? They may not be as empathic or as psychically gifted as the top five signs, but they are still endowed with a tremendous amount of empathy. Due to their diplomatic and peace-loving nature, they are able to anticipate the physical and emotional needs of those around them.
5. Sagittarius
Sagittarians may not be as innately psychic as the top four signs, but they possess the ability to learn and tap into some preternatural inclinations that are buried deep within them. They have the reputation for being self-aware visionaries who seem to possess a sort of other-worldly wisdom. They are ruled by the stormy giant, Jupiter, the planet that governs our spirituality and philosophical views. Perhaps sharing a ruling planet with *spoilers* one of the most psychic signs explains their fascination with the metaphysical.
4. Aquarius
Contrary to popular belief, Aquarius, the water bearer, is not a water sign. But they are like the water signs because they are blessed with some psychic tendencies. Aquarians are known to be exceptional listeners. Now you may not consider that to be a psychic ability, so let me explain. Because Aquarians are able to listen and engage with others so well, they are able to glean certain details of an individual’s personality that others may not be able to pick up on. People also tend to open up to them easily.
3. Scorpio
Scorpios may not be known to be as empathic as their watery counterparts, but that doesn’t mean that they do not possess certain psychic abilities. Scorpios are ruled by Pluto, the planet of secrets. Because of this, Scorpios are not only known to be quite secretive, but they are also known to be able to detect when others are keeping secrets. In other words, Scorpios have a built in B.S. detector…Let’s see if my editor, who is lunar Scorpio, leaves that last sentence in.
2. Cancer
Cancer is known to be one of the most empathetic signs in the entire zodiac. This may have something to do with their ruling heavenly body. Cancerians are ruled by our great glowing celestial mother, the moon. The moon governs how we feel emotions but it also governs how we understand and relate to the emotions of those around us. And since the cardinal water signs are moon-children, they tend to be hit with a double dose of empathy.
1. Pisces
You knew Pisces was going to be number one on the list right? I have mentioned in sun, moon, and rising articles that people who have Pisces in a prominent place in their birth charts tend to have psychic tendencies. These tendencies can present themselves differently depending on the person, but Pisceans tend to be empathic. This means that the mutable water sign is able to sense and possibly even feel the emotions of those around them.
Pisces is also ruled by Neptune, which is known to be the planet of dreams, intuition, and spirituality. But their ancient ruler is Jupiter which, as I stated earlier, also rules over our spirituality as well as our fortune.
