The Eisenhower Matrix is a simple grid. On your paper, draw a large square. Then divide it into four smaller squares. In each numbered quadrant, you’ll group tasks according to how urgent and important they are:

1. Urgent and Important 2. Not Urgent but Important 3. Urgent and Not Important 4. Not Urgent and Not Important

If you’re struggling to decide if a task is important, you might need to take another step back and think about your priorities. Are you using your one wild and precious life to live authentically and in harmony with your core values? What are your core values?
