So, as many of us focus on a healthier 2021, here are some smoothie recipes to help you on your journey.

While green smoothies don’t always look the most appetizing, they don’t have to taste bad. In fact, with just a few simple ingredients, you can take a green smoothie from tasting like grass to tasting like a treat.

Here’s what you need for a delicious green breakfast smoothie:

  • One frozen banana
  • Spinach (or another leafy green of your choosing)
  • A splash of milk
  • ½ a cup of oats (this will help keep you full longer)
  • Two dates (for a little extra sweetener)

There’s no exact recipe necessary for this smoothie, just throw everything into a blender and mix it up. If you notice the smoothie is not sweet enough, simply add another date.

Or, if you feel like it’s not green enough, throw in another handful of spinach. The beautiful thing about smoothies is you can make them exactly to your liking.

Peanut Butter Banana Smoothie

If you’re looking for a smoothie that will keep you full throughout the day and give you a burst of energy, look no further than the peanut butter banana smoothie.

Here are the ingredients you need:

  • Peanut butter or nut butter of your choice
  • One banana
  • Milk
  • Protein powder of your choice
  • Flax seeds
  • Agave nectar

While the peanut butter and flax seeds will give you healthy fats and protein, the banana provides a good source of energy.

And, just like the green smoothie above, there is no right way or wrong way to make this smoothie. Add as much or as little of each ingredient as you see fit.

Matcha Mango Smoothie

For those looking for a little caffeine but don’t want to drink another cup of coffee, go for a matcha smoothie instead.

Matcha, which is a type of green tea, is high in antioxidants and also provides an energy boost, so it’s a great ingredient to include in a smoothie.

Here are the ingredients you will need:

  • One to two teaspoons of matcha powder
  • Spinach
  • Almond milk
  • Half a banana
  • Frozen mango
  • ½ a lemon

Mix all these ingredients into a blender (add to taste) and enjoy!

Avocado Smoothie

We’ve all tried avocado toast, but have you ever tried an avocado smoothie? If not, now’s the perfect time to make this easy drink, which is full of healthy fats.

Here are the ingredients you need:

  • One avocado
  • Frozen banana
  • A cup of frozen pineapple
  • Spinach
  • Lime juice
  • Maple syrup
  • Milk
  • Vanilla protein powder

While the avocado and spinach add great nutrients, the banana, pineapple, and maple syrup will make this smoothie perfectly sweet. Combine all these ingredients in your blender and voila, you have yourself a perfect avocado smoothie. Enjoy!
