Read on to find out what the three of pentacles has in store for you!

Welcome to Tarot Tuesday!

Each Tuesday I will be pulling a card from my grandmother’s tarot deck and writing about what the card could mean for the signs, broken up by element. The elements of the zodiac are Fire (Aries, Leo, and Sagittarius), Earth (Taurus, Virgo, and Capricorn), Air (Gemini, Libra, and Aquarius), and Water (Cancer, Scorpio, and Pisces).

I may pull a card from the major arcana, representing our inner wisdom. Or I may pull a suit card, representing outside influences. I may even pull a court card signifying a specific person in your life. This card can help you set your intention for the rest of the week or it can provide a visualization of your current situation. Don’t forget to check your moon and rising signs as well as your sun sign.

This week I drew the Three of Pentacles. In tarot, the number three symbolizes hidden opportunities. It can also symbolize creative endeavors, and joyous celebrations like a marriage or pregnancy.

Pentacles are the suit of dependability and material comforts. This suit often symbolizes home, family, and ambitious or occupational pursuits. When a Pentacle card pops up, it usually represents the need for common sense and practicality.

In my grandmother’s deck, the card is depicted with three individuals standing inside of a church or a chapel. A youth, dressed in a grey tunic and yellow apron, is standing on a bench and working at a task that is being overseen by the two other individuals. A priest, dressed in a brown tunic, and a nobleman dressed in an orange and red hooded cloak, hold a set of plans and seem to be instructing the young boy. There is an ornate archway above all three of them decorated with three stone pentacles.

Though the card’s image may vary from deck to deck, the meaning is often the same. This card represents success if you build up your resources. It can also symbolize the ability to bounce back after an unfortunate setback. When this card pops up in a reading, it assures you that you will be able to accomplish any tangible goal or task like DIY projects or renovations. It can also symbolize the achievement of wealth through means of hard work and attention to detail.

This card can also signify a close relationship with an older relative.

What This Card Means For Fire Signs (Aries, Leo, Sagittarius)

Fire signs are ruled by their passion and drive. The Three of Pentacles speak to your physical, mental, and emotional strength.

Aries, you may be dealing with what some people call “the impossible task.” If it feels like you are summoning all of your strength just to accomplish it, it may be time to ask someone you trust for help.

Leo, you are physically capable, emotionally strong, and mentally sharp enough to overcome any obstacles that are currently in your way. Do not let imposter syndrome stand in your way.

Sagittarius, don’t let anyone tell you that your dreams and goals are too ambitious! You have the ability to accomplish anything you put your mind to!

What This Card Means For Earth Signs (Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn)

Earth signs are ruled by their dedication and desire. This card may hold more significance for you because the Pentacles are the suit of earth. The Three of Pentacles speaks to exceptional work ethic and financial prowess.

Taurus, you are working hard to create something beautiful and meaningful. This card wants you to keep going even when you feel discouraged.

Virgo, if there is a group project at home or at work, this card wants you to lend your skills to the group. Your hard work and pragmatism will prove to be invaluable.

Capricorn, this card wants you to seize any money-making opportunity that you can. Don’t be surprised if some people come to you seeking financial advice.

What This Card Means For Air Signs (Gemini, Libra, Aquarius)

Air signs are ruled by their compassion and independence. The Three of Pentacles speak to your desire to seek wisdom from older people whom you admire.

Gemini, you may be stuck on a creative endeavor. Maybe something isn’t working right or you have the dreaded writer’s block. This card wants you to talk through these problems with someone you trust.

Libra, the problem with being the peacekeeper is that everyone comes to you for advice and you are too scared to tell them that you don’t have the answers. Seek out guidance and wisdom from someone you trust. It’s okay to admit that you don’t know everything.

Aquarius, people often come to you seeking advice or comfort and you are always willing to lend a hand to help or an ear to listen. But this card wants you to seek out wisdom from people who may be more experienced than you.

What This Card Means For Water Signs (Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces)

Water signs are ruled by their empathy and imagination. The Three of Pentacles want you to actively pursue your creative and artistic goals.

Cancer, you may be presented with an opportunity to turn one of your many hobbies into a money-making opportunity. If this opportunity seems legitimate, you should take it.

Scorpio, don’t be embarrassed to ask for help on a creative project. You are always there to assist others, so let others offer a helping hand.

Pisces, this card wants you to collaborate with other artists on an important creative project. Your skills will be very important to this collaboration.

Tune in next week for another Tuesday Tarot Pull! In the meantime, let’s honor the Three of Pentacles by listening to this iconic song from Rihanna.
