Read on to find out what the Page of Cups has in store for you!

Welcome to Tarot Tuesday!

Each Tuesday, I will pull a card from my grandmother’s tarot deck and write about what the card could mean for the signs, broken up by element. The elements of the zodiac are Fire (Aries, Leo, and Sagittarius), Earth (Taurus, Virgo, and Capricorn), Air (Gemini, Libra, and Aquarius), and Water (Cancer, Scorpio, and Pisces).

I may pull a card from the major arcana, representing our inner wisdom. Or I may pull a suit card, representing outside influences. I may even pull a court card signifying a specific person in your life. This card can help you set your intention for the rest of the week, or it can provide a visualization of your current situation. Don’t forget to check your moon and rising signs as well as your sun sign.

Also, I want to mention that this week’s card was not the first card I pulled. I pulled the Nine of Pentacles first before pulling this week’s card. If you want to check out that card, you can do so here.

This week, I pulled a court card, the Page of Cups. A Page represents a younger, immature person who is in the process of growing up.

Cups are the suit of romance and emotion. This suit can represent all stages of love, whether it be new, unrequited, or long-standing. When a cup card comes up in a reading, it can mean that we must make a decision based on emotion rather than logic. This suit reminds us that it is okay to listen to our hearts rather than our heads sometimes.

My grandmother’s deck depicts the card as a young androgynous figure. They wear a blue and red tunic adorned with red flowers, red leggings, and a fancy blue hat. They stand with a hand on their hip while holding a golden cup with a blue fish sitting in it. A calm blue body of water is in the background.

Though the card’s image may vary from deck to deck, the meaning is often the same. The Page of Cups can represent a sensitive, idealistic, and in some cases, psychic person in your life. It can also represent a crush or a new romance. This card also symbolizes personal growth and learning to trust again. If the Page of Cups pops up in a reading, it could be telling you that it is time to learn something new or nurture a specific talent.

Be careful, because this card can also represent an exalted person who may deceive you.

What This Card Means For Fire Signs (Aries, Leo, Sagittarius)

Fire signs are ruled by their passion and drive. The Page of Cups speaks to their optimism, as well as their desire for romance.

Aries, as optimistic as you intrinsically are, you may have been riddled with anxiety lately. This card wants you to stop expecting the worst. Maybe, just maybe, things will work out in your favor.

Leo, this card wants you to revel in your flirtatious nature. It’s time to shoot your shot with your crush. Or, if you already have a romantic partner, it’s time to take them out for a romantic night on the town.

Sagittarius, you are not afraid of new experiences. But if you are feeling just a tad bit apprehensive about a new or unexpected adventure, this card wants you to banish any fear or doubt that clouds your mind.

What This Card Means For Earth Signs (Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn)

Earth signs are ruled by their dedication and desire. The Page of Cups speaks to their ability to learn from their experiences.

Taurus, a situation may arise where you must admit you were wrong. You don’t need to grovel or beat yourself up about it. You just need to remember what you’ve learned.

Virgo, an unexpected problem may have knocked you slightly off-kilter. This card not only wants you to persevere, but it also knows that you can adapt to your surroundings.

Capricorn, this card wants you to take time to think about a situation before jumping in head first. Before taking on a new task, you may need to consider other people’s opinions and experiences.

What This Card Means For Air Signs (Gemini, Libra, Aquarius)

Air signs are ruled by their compassion and independence. The Page of Cups speaks to their intelligence and desire to learn.

Gemini, you may have the opportunity to learn something new and exciting. This card wants you to jump at any chance to expand your mind and skill set.

Libra, you are quite diplomatic by nature. This card wants you to use this diplomacy to solve any problems that may arise. It is important to get both sides of a situation.

Aquarius, it’s not always easy for you to meet new people. But this card wants you to step out of your comfort zone. Meeting new friends can open up your world to new possibilities.

What This Card Means For Water Signs (Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces)

Water signs are ruled by their empathy and imagination. This card may hold more significance for you because the Cups are the suit of water. The Page of Cups speaks to their sensitivity and need for creative expression.

Cancer, it’s time to set your creativity free. This card wants you to tackle the project you may have put on the back burner.

Scorpio, you tend to get quite broody. This card wants you to open your eyes to a world of possibilities. It’s time to believe in magic again.

Pisces, this card wants you to tap into any psychic or empathic inclinations you may have. Let your heart be your guide at this time.

Tune in next week for another Tuesday Tarot Pull! In the meantime, enjoy this Nat King Cole classic that tells the story of a young man who could’ve been the Page of Cups.
