Find out what the lunar transits — and Mars and Venus — have in store for us this week!

The moon is not the only busy celestial body in the sky. Over the weekend, the heavenly lovers Mars and Venus reunited in Aquarius, causing us to seek independence, power, and peace. Now Pluto is the only planet remaining in Capricorn, motivating us to move forward and get rid of anything that no longer serves us.

But what is going on with the moon this week? The moon is jumping from Taurus to Gemini before going home to Cancer, causing us to be curious, communicative, and homesick.

While we were sleeping, the moon in Taurus formed a conjunction with Uranus. This constellation brings out the positive and negative traits of Taurus to an extreme. Under this conjunction, we may be stubborn and hard to reason with. We also might develop unusual habits or fall back into certain unsavory behaviors. On a more optimistic note, love may be in the air. Despite the bull-headed energy, Taurus can help to enhance appeal and attraction.

Around breakfast time, the moon forms a sextile with Jupiter in Pisces. This placement is giving us an optimistic outlook. We are reveling in our popularity and success. It is a good time to spread the love around, and direct your energy towards philanthropic causes. You can donate to your favorite charity or take part in some community outreach.

Sometime around noon, the sun in Pisces forms a sextile with the moon. Under this sextile, there is decent communication between masculine and feminine energies. We are eager to see and treat our fellow human beings as equals. We have a great sense of belonging at this time. Our loved ones are ready and willing to help us with whatever we need at this time.

Later in the day, the moon forms a square with Saturn in Aquarius. Under this square, we feel incredibly restricted. Any goodwill we felt earlier is dwindling. We feel secretive and find it difficult to be truthful with our loved ones. At times like this, it can be easy to isolate yourself from everyone. A little alone time and mental rest may be beneficial. But it may also be helpful to reach out and talk to someone when you feel ready.

About an hour before midnight, the moon forms a sextile with Neptune in Pisces. Under this sextile, our spiritual life is flourishing. We feel a tremendous amount of empathy at this moment, and this empathy can inspire our creativity. Now is a great time to utilize our artistic talents to create something that can inspire others.

In the mid-morning, the moon in Taurus forms a square with Mercury in Aquarius. The moon and Mercury are both mutable by nature, and this square may cause our behavior to become, if you will forgive the pun, mercurial. These ever-changing moods can make us thoughtless, unpredictable, and impulsive.

About twenty minutes later, the moon forms a trine with Pluto in Capricorn. Under this trine, we are experiencing a myriad of complex emotions. We may feel a bit restless at this time. We have a strong need for adventure. It may be fun to plan a day trip. Do what you need to satiate your adventurous desires.

Around lunchtime, the moon moves into inquisitive Gemini. Under this moon, our mental faculties are greatly enhanced. We are curious and receptive. We have a strong desire for new experiences. Lunar Gemini encourages us to communicate and learn from others.

In the early evening, the moon forms a trine with Mars in Aquarius. Under this trine, we are endowed with great physical and mental energy. We are adaptable and resourceful. You may have struggled with hardships recently, but you are pushing through and persevering. The wind is in our sails and nothing can get in your way.

Later, the moon forms a sweet and sentimental trine with Venus in Aquarius. Under this trine, we are open to the idea of love and marriage. We are considerate of our partners’ emotions and desires. We are able to anticipate and adapt to each other’s needs. Our cheery disposition and attitude have a positive effect on everyone around us. Peace is our main priority at this time and we avoid conflict to the best of our ability.

The moon is not very active today but it does form a square with Jupiter in careless Pisces. Under this square, we may find ourselves in conflict with authority figures. We may be wasteful with our assets at this time. Disagreements may arise in our romantic relationships. We may feel isolated from a maternal figure.

Just before sunrise, the sun in Pisces forms a square with the moon in Gemini. As earthlings, we hate to see our celestial parents fight. Under this half-moon, we can face many obstacles in our personal and professional lives. We may feel uncomfortable in our own skin and around others. This discomfort can lead to public disputes. Since we are particularly susceptible to health issues at this time, we may find it helpful to take a mental health day and let ourselves unwind.

Just before noon, the moon forms a square with Neptune in Pisces. Under this placement, we are passive and anxious. We may feel hypersensitive and be easily hurt by the words and actions of those around us. This hypersensitivity can lead us to direct our insecurities inward. We may be unkind and dishonest with ourselves. At times like this, self-care is very important.  Meditation may also help. It could be very tempting to get lost in wishful thinking. Some positive escapism may help take your mind off of your anxieties.

In the wee hours of the morning, the moon finds its home in cozy Cancer. Cancer is a water sign and water seeks its own level. Like Cancer, we also yearn for home and seek our own level. The moon governs our emotions, and during this lunar reunion, we are empathetic and in touch with our own needs and feelings. Now is a wonderful time to curl up in bed with a good book to read or show to binge. Under this moon, it is okay to be a homebody.

Around breakfast time, the moon forms a trine with Mercury in Pisces. Under this trine, we are open-minded and willing to learn. Our minds are sharp and our speech is clear. We think for ourselves and do our own research rather than blindly believing what we are told. At this time, we can easily influence others with our charisma and leadership qualities. However, it is important that we wield this power with great discernment. We want to keep our influence a positive one.
