Let’s talk about this week’s lunar transits and how they may affect our daily lives.

Just after midnight, the moon in Taurus forms an emotional trine with Pluto in adventurous Capricorn. Under this placement, emotions that have long laid dormant are awakening. We have an intense desire to experience new things and to travel to new places. We also have the urge to participate in daring physical activities.

A few hours later, the moon moves into inquisitive Gemini. Under this moon, our mental faculties are sharpened. We are curious and sympathetic. We are ready to have new experiences and meet new people. This is a wonderful time to network, and meet someone who may open doors for us. We are open to new possibilities and are willing to learn and achieve any and all opportunities.

Around noon, the moon forms a square with Venus in Pisces. Under this square our instincts are strong but our inhibitions can weaken them. We can feel like our thoughts and feelings are not being taken seriously. This dissatisfaction and insecurity can lead to problems with our loved ones.

Later in the afternoon, the moon forms a sextile with Jupiter in Aries. This sextile is an absolutely superb transit to start our week off right. With these two signs working together, our generosity knows no bounds. We are compelled to contribute to humanitarian ventures and spread healthy positivity wherever we go. Now is a great time to work on your creative projects.

As we get ready for bed, the moon forms a conjunction with Mars also in Gemini. Under this conjunction, we feel on edge and irritable. We must be mindful of these tendencies or else we can become argumentative or in the worst cases, violent. Exercise and meditation can aid in our stress relief since this transit can cause emotional and physical tension.

While we slept, the sun in progressive Aquarius formed a trine with the moon in Gemini. Under this trine, we experience levels of harmony that would make a Libra jealous. At this time, we feel physically, mentally, and emotionally healthy. We have a healthy work-life balance and we feel proud of our accomplishments. The relationships with our friends and family are strong and our relationship with our partner is flourishing. Take some time to warm yourself in the glow of your personal and professional achievements. You’ve earned it.

Wednesday, February 1st

In the wee hours of the morning, the moon forms a square with Neptune in Pisces. Under this placement, we are passive and anxious. We may feel extra sensitive and can be easily hurt by the words and actions of those around us. This hypersensitivity can lead us to direct our insecurities inward. We may be unkind and dishonest with ourselves. At times like this, self-care is very important.

As we get ready for the day, the moon forms a trine with Saturn in Aquarius. Under this trine, we see things clearly and tackle our goals with a great level of dedication and care. We feel organized and responsible. There is a desire to sort out our space as well as our thoughts. We are setting our intentions with care and consideration. There is no immediate rush to see our plans come to fruition. We are happy to take methodical and deliberate steps in achieving our goals.

Later in the day, the moon moves into sentimental Cancer. Under this moon, we crave the simple and pleasant side of life. As the moon is at home in Cancer, we too have a desire for home. At this time, we value feeling emotionally secure and physically safe. Self-care is important for us now. We can cook our favorite meal, read our favorite books, tidy up our living space, or just take a well-deserved nap. It is essential that we use this time to recharge our batteries.

Early this morning, just before the groundhog emerges the moon forms a square with Jupiter in Aries. Under this square, conflict may arise in many facets of our lives. We may find ourselves at odds with others and pick fights with everyone around us.  We may be careless with our resources as well as our health. Be mindful of alcohol and caffeine, because our livers are especially vulnerable.

Around breakfast time, the moon forms a trine with Venus in Pisces. Under this trine, our desires shift from creative to romantic. We extend a great amount of courtesy to our loved ones and we are able to easily adapt to their needs. We feel amicable and have a strong desire to take care of our family and community. However, it is important that we remember to take care of ourselves as well.

A couple of hours later, the moon forms a sextile with Uranus in Taurus. This sextile grants us ambition and a can-do attitude. We are more than happy to help out with projects, both at work and at home. Thanks to our pragmatic sensibilities, we are able to persuade others easily to our way of thinking. We also may have a great desire to travel at this time. We crave a bit of freedom and are curious to see what the world has to offer. It may be time to plan a small getaway or take a day trip.

Around breakfast time, the moon forms an opposition with Mercury in Capricorn. Under this opposition, we may have an abundance of spiritual gifts, but we run the risk of not using them correctly. At this time, our minds are constantly changing so we may not know exactly what we want. It is important to think before we act or speak during this transit because we run the risk of acting hastily.

The moon ends this long week by forming a trine with Neptune. Under this trine, we are innovative and have a great enthusiasm for life. We have an appreciation for the beauty around us as well as within us. We feel artistic and attractive. Now is the time for us to put our imaginations to good use and pursue some creative endeavors.
